ASIAN EYE SURGERY


There are many differences between Caucasian and Asian eyes. Most of the differences include folded skin and underlying muscles due to genetics. Oftentimes the effects of aging will cause the skin of the upper eye to hang over the eye. Blepharoplasty is a relatively minor procedure that can be performed at your doctor’s office, or as an outpatient. Usually, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia, but it can also be performed under general anesthesia. To remove unwanted deposits, near the eye, incisions are made which heal to be non-visible. The procedure can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours.
